Good weather here in southern ca, been so longgg (one week) and coming back from Loon Point I drove slow and pealed back the lid on some really stellar tunes. Some old, some new, all I want to do is share em with you so I’m gonna quit the yappin and just give you some ripe smokers.

Telephoned “Hold Me” Video

Really cool video directed by Pomp & Clout for Telephoned’s first single “Hold Me”. The viewer takes on a multitude of POV’s throughout, from a swing seat to a golf ball to lipstick.

I Can See Boobies

RESET! & Nom De Strip – I can see boobies from RESET! on Vimeo.

No no I’m not pulling some shitty 6th sense knee slap, I Can See Boobies is really the title of Reset! & Nom De Strip’s new single. It’s pretty standard Reset! (thats a good thing) with never ending bass and fidget house mayhem all the way through. The vid is a tribute to Russ Meyer and boobies all over the world

Beni X Villa

You might be getting sick of all this Beni beat mischif but too bad because I’ve got another burner for ya! This time it comes in the form of a ripe Belgium remix from Villa. Villa has been a chief for awhile now, even after Midnight Matters went solo. Stream this one first and then cop the download below.

Never a bad idea to look to The C90′s for some stellar tunage both old and new. The London duo put together a great new mix to showcase the tracks that have got them fired up and if you take a listen you’re guaranteed to find some new favorites of your own.

Horrors of Love

Leslie Ming & Play Paul have hit another stride as Ryskee with “Horrors of Love”. Alight with bounce and energy, the cooing vocals of Leslie combined with the instincts of Play Paul really add up to a stellar ep. WIth remixes by Mr. Oizo, Jamaica, Keith & Supabeatz and (the stellar) Fare Soldi it just oozes flavor. Buy it here!

Beat Connection X Dreamtrak

This brilliant new track has been on repeat for a couple weeks now and is definitely one of the most requested tracks from my Kauai Coast Spring Fix. It’s a brilliant pop track mixed up to perfection. Charming as hell and just as addictive, Dreamtrak has crafted an excellent mix for a great song. Beat Connection is on their way, expect big things from them!

Wild In The Streets!?

WILD in the STREETS from Ampal Creative on Vimeo.

The Ampal Creative, super steezin hat company, have just released their “Wild In The Streets” snap back and it is pure skiddy gold. Acid washed over and over locally in LA, each cap is unique and will wear even more over time. Grab one here before they’re all gone! which will be soon!

Gold

It’s really not that often that I get completely fired up for album drops. Most of the time in fact, they come and go and only after a light year (a week) do I realize what I’m missing out on! Never a good sign for a dj/tunage worshipper. This is because most of the time I get my daily bread in the form of singles/remix packages blah blah like the rest of us. This though, is an album I’ve been awaiting for a long time. Ever since Das Pop’s last album hit my ears I’ve been impatiently waiting their return. “The Game” is their latest magic sound compilation and it is ruling like the romans. Pure uninhibited pop gold I’d say. Pretty far away from the electro noise deesco props that I usually post around here, “The Game” doesn’t have a hint of any dance festival appeal. Instead it’s a toast to all the great pop tunes of the 70′s, with strumming guitars and lonely pianos. To put an album out like this in this day and age is gutsy and pure. Their last album was remixed by the likes of Busy P, Van She Tech, SebastiAn and countless others. I hope this one gets the same treatment because the results could be epic, its such a breath of fresh air.
