As if this weekend couldn’t get any more massive, what with so many unreal shows just here in la, our good friends over at The Standard Downtown LA are throwing one more party before the weekend ends (and real halloween happens…wtf) with none other than aussie legends Bag Raiders!! No Shirt/No Shoes crew will be in full effect with sets from Bixel Boys and myself. Good friend Shae B. will also be throwing down the chunage!!
So myrts wipe off your Black Swan eye liner off and pull out that nurse outfit from freshman year and get on it! Gonna be a rad night up on the roof; cheap booze and great chunes to cap off one amazing weekend.

I’ll start off with a recent find & instant classic for me. Them Jeans, that extremely tall human being with a penchant for creating addicting sounds, put his track “What Are You Looking At (Vogue)” up online a bit ago for free. It’s vintage in the best of ways, a re-make of an old Madonna track apparently, with new drums and arrangements.

Sometimes songs just pile up and turn into a giant pile of laundry in the corner. Clean that shit up and it looks great, leave it there and it just gather dust. It’s about time I dust off some real disco shiners and share them round. New and old, yes, but no Hi-NRG bs or a 2 second disco loop on repeat. These are some serious gems by some of the best. I never really drop these in sets which sucks, so the least I can do is share some with you!
